MIT Technology Review Names Toyota One of the 50 Smartest Companies of 2016

Toyota has been given the honor of being named one of the 50 Smartest Companies of 2016 by the prestigious MIT Technology Review. The Toyota Research Institute is dedicated to studying the future of mobility, artificial intelligence, and robotics, including the introduction of the Mirai, a hydrogen-fuel-cell vehicle for everyday consumers.

Currently many Toyota models offer some of the most impressive technologies any automotive brand can provide, which certainly contributes to the brand’s number 17 spot on the list. One of our favorite Toyota technologies is Entune™, an infotainment hub that gives drivers access to a variety of helpful apps, navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Other smart technologies in Toyota vehicles include:

  • Smart Key System
  • Hybrid Synergy Drive® on hybrid Toyota models
  • Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC)
  • Head-Up Display (HUD)
  • Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging
  • Backup camera
  • Multi-Information Display

Check out our new vehicle inventory to experience the innovative technology offered in the latest Toyota models, and schedule a test drive with your favorite.
